-Distract yourself: Bring music, your favorite movie, a stress ball, or even a fidget spinner to distract you during your treatment. This can help take your mind off of what’s going on and it might even help you relax and have a little bit of fun.
-Use calming techniques: Sometimes counting your breaths calms the nerves you feel. You can do this while you’re waiting for your appointment or during your treatment. You can also do a full-body scan. Just focus on one muscle in your body at a time and work on relaxing it. Start with your head and end with your toes.
