Dental veneers are the perfect answer to anyone who is self-conscious about their smile. Whether you have grey teeth, crooked or chipped teeth, veneers are one of the top choices for restoring your beautiful smile. The benefits far outweigh any rebalancing considerations. For example, you will have a perfect smile. Your teeth will be straight as possible, white and they will fit the shape of your mouth so you have a welcoming and attractive smile. However, there may be some questions you have on your mind, as to whether or not it would be worth it. So we have tackled these for you.

How long do they last?

Veneers are made from a composite compound, mainly porcelain. There’s an unfortunate myth that some people fall for sometimes, in that veneers are fragile and they won’t last. This is nonsense, as a good set of veneers can last you up to 15 years or more. We do recommend that you take precautions when eating, just as you would normally. Don’t bite down on very hard things such as apples and popsicles, but surely you don’t do that anyway!

Will they suit me?

Absolutely, they will suit you. Veneers are specifically crafted for your teeth shape, your mouth size and they take into consideration, how you speak. We obviously don’t want to give you veneers that are too long, too short, or too thick, as this will affect your speech. We will mold each veneer to your liking and always test them out before fitting.

Who does it?

We recommend you only seek to fit veneers with the expert professionals of a dentist. Any other type of professional might only do veneers as a purely aesthetic task. But dental veneers require a licensed dentist to have them fit and work as intended. The dentist will have the proper training, know-how and they will constantly be keeping up with advancements in the industry to give you the most modern solutions possible.

How long does it take?

You will arrive for a consultation first, so we can assess what kinds of veneers you require. We’ll talk about your lifestyle, eating habits, brushing habits and anything related to the hygiene and care of your teeth, gums and general oral concerns. Then we’ll draw up a map of the kind of veneers we want to use, test them out on you in another visit and with your advice and preferences, we’ll get to work crafting them. We’ll use a mold of your teeth to shape and size them. Then, over a possible 2-day period, we’ll fit the veneers one by one.

The benefits

The benefits that many of our customers tell us about, sometimes don’t appear until after they have fitted them. For example, veneers won’t stain! So you can drink coffee and wine without worrying so much anymore. And of course, a beautiful straight white smile is bound to attract someone you’ve had your eye on for a while!
